I went to see Gloria at the UKPA yesterday (opposite the British Museum) - they're the company organising the UK stand at the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
She was great in offering lots of advice on how it all works, and how I can get the most out of the fair. Whilst I'm used to negotiation contracts in my day job, it sounds very different for books. Whilst fundamentally it's all about Intellectual Property (IP) - selling book rights sounds like a cross between licensing and selling. So, upon recommendation I've ordered "Selling Rights" by Lynette Owen;
