Amazon Kindle vs Barnes & Noble Nook

One of the reasons Amazon is so successful is that they make things easy. It took me about 10 seconds to find out the method by which I can upload a doc to Kindle to make it available. But after 5 mins looking at the Barnes & Noble site I'm still none the wiser. I want to publish for the Nook - but I don't think they want me to.
