It's specifically designed for publishing, and significantly lets me set bleed for pages, which Word and many other applications can't.
Drawing is less easy than in Word, but I think that it's worth re-learning to be able to deliver better artwork & files for printers.
I'm currently working on the 1 month free evaluation copy (for mac - approx 1Gb required) - and I'm sure I'll buy it soon.
In the mean time I need to deliver three more finished PDF's before Feb so I can get all the hard copied I need for the Bologna book fair.
While INDEsign will allow you to layout your pages, a really wonderful program for PAINTING is Corel Painter. You should try it.
ReplyDeleteyes I've tried this before and could tell it was useful. I was in transition from PC to Mac (probably one of the best decisions I've ever made) - so I'll try looking at it again. I'll see if I can download an evaluation copy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginger,
