Translating Children's Books into Foreign Languages

I've been on the phone today to a translation company and was happily surprised at how reasonable translation costs are. I'll be giving away free downloads of Tortoise George in Chinese (Mandarin), Korean and Japanese. Hopefully if the download stats are useful then I'll also go for Spanish and Russian.

It sounds like this (and another company I spoke to) have a flat fee for up to 1,000 words. All of my books (for now anyway) will be in this category, which will include a few sentences for the website. This makes it easier to predict and manage costs which I like.
